CRISTINA VATRA

Cristina Vatra, a qualified nurse and with a degree in HIstory, has a wide and varied work experience. As well as having worked as a nurse in various capacities in the Hospital de La Paz and in the research area  Unidad de Investigación en Enfermería in the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, both in Madrid, she has worked in cultural institutions such as the Thyssen Museum Foundation or the Residencia de Estudiantes.

In 2007, she began her first editorial job in Santillana and almost two decades later she is still working in publishing. She has studied contemporary and children’s writing in the prestigious Curtis Brown Creative school. In 2021, her first novel, El beso de Thor (Chasing Thor) launched HarperCollins’ contemporary women’s fiction imprint, Harper F. Two years later, she published Llámame Nia (Call Me Nia), to great enthusiasm from critics and readers. Her latest novel continues her great interest in giving voice to contemporary women and exploring relationships.
