OLGA SASPLUGAS & MANUEL MARTÍNEZ

MANUEL MARTÍNEZ (Valencia, 1975) studied Direction and Dramaturgy at the Institut del Teatre (Escola Superior d’Art Dramàtic de Barcelona) and has a Master in Cultural Management from the University of Valencia, where he became part of the management team. Within the theatrical world, he has directed four shows and been the producer for companies that travelled to Argentina, Chile and Peru.

He has an important career in the world of audiovisual advertising, producing the central piece of the “pills against other people’s pain” campaign by Doctors Without Borders (considered the most important Spanish advertising campaign of recent decades).

Through hiss interest in the world of scriptwriting, Manuel took on the role of director of the international headquarters of CSC in Spain and lead more than eight masters related to the world of film creation.  He has lived in Barcelona since the pandemic.

OLGA SASPLUGAS (Andorra, 1976) completed advanced studies in Contemporary Dance at the Institut del Teatre and graduated in Humanities in the Pompeu Fabra university in Barcelona. After finishing her academic training, she became part of the cast of the It Dansa Dance Company. Awarded a Fulbright scholarship, she moved to New York to pursue a Master’s in Performing Arts at the Tisch School of the Arts (NYU), a city where she lived for a few years. From then on, she took part in different sociocultural projects travelling to Cambodia, Colombia and Egypt.

On her return to Barcelona, Olga graduated as a socio-educational coach from the Ramon Llull University, a profession she combines with her literary passions.

Their first novel, written together, is a romantic story of passions, disagreements and disappointments that  culminates in a long-awaited love.
