A strange and apparently casual discovery in the South Pole sets off a series of events that will take Blanca Serrano, journalist working for an occultist magazine, and Rosa Vidal, police inspector, into a dark world. They must try to decipher the mysterious writings of Jacinto Verdaguer, priest fascinated by the occult. They will find themselves battling powerful organisations like the CIA and a dangerous terrorist operation, all of which want to control a weapon that could endanger all humanity.
