José Antonio Piqueras Román (Adra, Almería, 1987) began writing short stories when he was a teenager and his first published novel, Terral/Earthy, (Editables, 2019) is a thriller about a strange family in rural Spain. His second novel, Senderos tras la niebla/Paths Beyond The Mist (Bohodón ediciones 2021), and featuring the police detective Velázquez based in Granada, won the BMB crime novel award.
His latest novel returns to Inspector Velázquez and Granada, where sexual shenanigans turns nasty and organised crime rears its ugly head.
