Lúcia Vaz Pedro, with a degree from Universidad de Oporto, has published over thirty books covering fiction for children, educational titles, and novels for adults. In 2019 she published Camões conseguiu escrever muito para quem tinha só um olho (Camões wrote a lot for a man with only one eye)  iManuscrito, an imprint of Editorial Presença, and in 2021, she published the erotic novel Prova-me (Try Me), again with Manuscrito. The first edition was sold out in a month and Lúcia is currently finishing the second book about the adventures of Raquel.

In July 2021, she took part as a speaker in the Ted ex in Vila Nova de Gaia, and as well as a writer, Lúcia Vaz Pedro is a high-school teacher. She also gives classes on the Portuguese language as training for teachers of all levels, and in private schools,. universities and businesses. In  2018, she received the medal for cultural merit from the Gaia Municipality in recognition of her work for the Portuguese language. She wrote a weekly column for the newspaper Jornal de Notícias, from 2012 to 2019, and she appears regularly on television, and online with articles, columns and advice.
